About Alexander Granados
Since the early age of 15, Alexander Granados immersed himself in the vibrant Southwest Florida music scene, eagerly absorbing knowledge and honing his skills on the bandstand. Through dedication and hard work, Alexander carved a path for himself in the musical world, with the help and guidance of the beautiful people who believed in him and saw his true potential, one of them being his mentor Dan Miller who passed 08/19/2022.
Dan Miller, a highly esteemed jazz trumpeter, enchanted audiences around the globe with his unique melodies and virtuoso performances alongside legends such as Maynard Ferguson and Harry Connick Jr. Dan acknowledged the financial hurdles that Alexander faced, and chose to extend a helping hand without hesitation. He helped Alexander get his first trombone in 2016, raised money through The Gulf Coast Big Band to offer him scholarships and lessons, and instilled hope within him over the course of 6 years.
Alexander still plays with the Gulf Coast Big Band helping raise over 100,000 dollars in scholarships today for children who want to pursue music but don’t have the financial resources to be able to do so. He is a session musician and also a freelance artist who has been a part of numerous bands/projects in the SWFL area for 10 years. Alexander’s creativity and charisma enrich the experiences of audiences everywhere, making each performance a true spectacle to behold.
